Hola todos!! We put someone on a date to be baptized this week, started teaching two families, and I got food poisoning... again! My fav! had a fever of about 101 for 3 days but still left the apartment cause I wanted to WORK! Really I shouldve rested, but I am feeling better now and all is ok!  My stress has been better this week, but its been hard not to think about how my brother is coming home this week. We planned to work so hard everyday and literally lose ourselves in the work.  Other than that, everyday there are miracles with my spanish and I can share stories from my past that in any other moment I wouldnt have known how to share! Truly miracles yall. I got many compliments on my spanish this week but I know its all from help of the Spirit and the Lord.  I love you all and have an amazing week! Make time to watch general conference this weekend, we get to hear our living prophet and you guys get to hear it in english!(dont take that for granted)  Here are p...

Im Engaged, But Not Sure To Whom??

Yupppp you heard that right, im engaged folks. We were leaving the grocery store one night and these 2 guys came up to me and my companion and asked us a bunch of questions. One of the questions was if we had husbands! Thankfully we both had rings we could use to say we were engaged to people from our homes. And then we quickly left the situation, thankfully.    Thats a funny story from this week but really I have been SO stressed every day. I cant really remember what happened this week because all I remember is that I was really stressed. I am stressed for my area, that I am not being a good enough missionary, and stressed that I couldve done better everyday. If any of you have tips on how the heck to deal with stress, or how to lead an area that would be great.   I love you all and through the challenges I still love this work and I am still able to laugh and find joy everyday.   Have an amazing week!!! Feeling Like A Senior After 6 Weeks

Buen día! This week went by so fast but so slow at the same time. Here are a few highlights/the things I remember:   - our friend Omar came to church again!! We are going to invite him to be baptized this week. - touched a turtle and taxadermied(?) penguin - found 17 new people to teach this week! We were workin hard - exchanges!! I got to go to the other side of cipolletti for a day and work with Hermana Jones. We put someone on a date to be baptized, gifted 2 Book(s?) of Mormon and visited with the familia Zapata who are amazing and got to know each other more!! It was cool to go to a different area for once! - elder Gordons favorite foods are #1- tortas fritas and #2- queso cremosa   So much happened but not a lot happened this week! I'm leading the area this week cause my companion is new and it has been so stressful yall! I only have one transfer down in the mish and all this week I have felt like the senior companion. It has been a struggle to say the least, so if any of...

New Missionary Pt 2

Image
Yup, the title is correct. I got asked WAY to many times if I was a new missionary in my area that i've already been in for 6 weeks:( confirmed my thoughts of being pretty much invisible for the first transfer here in Argentina. So thats been real nice the past couple days. Oh and I got called fat in the street. Lets just say people are VERY open here and will not hold anything back.    Other than that, I have a new companion and she said that I have perfect spanish! At this moment I would like to thank my mother for speaking to me in spanish at home sometimes, because of that, I didnt completely loose the spanish I learned in high school many many years ago.   We had more miracles this week and one of our friends we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church! WOOHOOOO!!! I cried when he walked in, and then a less active member that we've been working with walked in. I was speachless, crying in gratitude, and saying prayers of thanks. God is real, he hears ...
