1/18th Done!

Hey yall! I usually start writing my emails throughout the week so just a heads up these emails probably won't be this good once I get to the field! But... here are a few things from this week!
 

• broke a 24 hour fast with watermelon and chocolate popsickes...
 

• spanish grammar test... well lets just say my goal was a 10%

 
• someone came and talked to all the missionaries about how if we do our part, each of us can have angels with us on our missions and at the CCM:) I have felt the presence of so many angels and all of your prayers this week!

 
• hail??? Its rainy season here and I love it. It hailed for about 10 minutes and then rained pretty hard this week.

 
• "do you love me more than these?" Jesus Christ asked Peter if he loved Him more than fishing and he said yes. Jesus then said, ok good now go feed my sheep. Peter had to give up something he loved for the Lord. My biggest "these" has been comfort. But there is no growth in the comfort zone!

 
• happy 4th! Had an amazing devotional, hotdogs and hamburgers(DO NOT EAT) and rootbeer floats for lunch, and finished with a lil party in our apartment with a make-shift donut cake(happy bday 'merica)

 
Funny things this week:
• this elder in my district said he was "germexamericadian" because on of his parents is mexican/canadian and the other is american/german
• costco is our promised land and we will get there! Lets just say food here has been doing everyone DIRTY.

Milagros yall!! A few things from this week: - A family we are teaching came to church yesterday - One of our friends that we stopped teaching 2 months ago went to church/the baptism of her GRANDDAUGHTER yesterday and told the missionaries there that she wants us to teach her and pass by again!! - my heels are absolutely destroyed from walking a ton but I couldnt be happier to be in pain for the salvation of other people - I gave a talk and people could understand me haha!! My comp said my argentinian accent was so heavy at some points in my talk that she couldnt understand my spanish - a kid asked if I was chinese.   My favorite miracle this week:   while we were walking to a baptism for another ward, a guy stopped on his motorcycle and said "tengo una consulta", I was prepared to help him with dirrections, while my companion was preparing to run haha. I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

It rained, it poured, it rained some more. And then it snowed. Yup. Its summer for yall but it is very much winter for me and the rest of la gente here in Argentina. This week was cold, and as I am writing this email I am looking out of our window(we live in the 8th floor of an apartment building) all I can see is fog. The poor weather made it harder to work but we pushed through.   Had my first (multi)zone conference this week in Roca and it was great to get to know other missionaries! For those of you new to mission lingo- each companionship of missionaries has an area that they cover. Every couple "areas" is a "district", and every couple "districts" is a "zone"! Zone conference is when we all gather at one church building and spend the morning(or day in our case) together!  We had exchanges! New Missionary Pt 2

Yup, the title is correct. I got asked WAY to many times if I was a new missionary in my area that i've already been in for 6 weeks:( confirmed my thoughts of being pretty much invisible for the first transfer here in Argentina. So thats been real nice the past couple days. Oh and I got called fat in the street. Lets just say people are VERY open here and will not hold anything back.    Other than that, I have a new companion and she said that I have perfect spanish! At this moment I would like to thank my mother for speaking to me in spanish at home sometimes, because of that, I didnt completely loose the spanish I learned in high school many many years ago.   We had more miracles this week and one of our friends we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church!
