Newsies But In Alaska

Wowowowowoow!! Yall im speachless with how pretty it is here and how much potential there is in this area. My ward is so big and i'm feeling right at home! A few things that happened this week:


Earlier this week in Cipolletti:
- a wonderful family doused me with eggs, flour, and yerba
- we put 2 kids on a date to be baptized(pray for Antonella and Emilia)
- Antonella made me 2 paintings to take with me and one of them said "te quiero mucho, vos estás la mejor" and from a kid means its even more true, and then she ran outside when we were leaving and said "I dont want you to goooo!!!" My heart was breaking yall!


Transfers:
- our mission mom made turkey sandwiches for everyone that was at the mission home to change cities/companions cause Argentina doesnt celebrate thanksgiving either
- basically had to pay a ransom so that this "fancy" bus would load all of our luggage to take to the south
- we waited 2 hours at a bus terminal(like an airport but for buses not airplanes)
- was on said bus(was double-deckered) for 9 hours but the views were incredible! 


El Bolsón:
- everyone wears hats here from the newsies and we dont know why, I guess its the european culture here
- this city reminds me so much of alaska, we even have the same flowers that look a little like lavender but arent(dont remember the name)
- we have 2 friends on dates to be baptized and we are hoping to help a few more accept a baptismal date to make a convenant with their heavenly father!
- my apartment is the most spacious thing ive ever seen! Picture attached, and yes, that is literally our entire apartment.
- there are horses everywhere
- went on an awesome/a little dangerous/my legs are dead hike this morning!! 


I love this work, being an instrument in Gods hands, and seeing miracles everyday. The change of almost everything has been exactly what I needed.

Milagros yall!! A few things from this week: - A family we are teaching came to church yesterday - One of our friends that we stopped teaching 2 months ago went to church/the baptism of her GRANDDAUGHTER yesterday and told the missionaries there that she wants us to teach her and pass by again!! - my heels are absolutely destroyed from walking a ton but I couldnt be happier to be in pain for the salvation of other people - I gave a talk and people could understand me haha!! My comp said my argentinian accent was so heavy at some points in my talk that she couldnt understand my spanish - a kid asked if I was chinese.   My favorite miracle this week:   while we were walking to a baptism for another ward, a guy stopped on his motorcycle and said "tengo una consulta", I was prepared to help him with dirrections, while my companion was preparing to run haha. I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

It rained, it poured, it rained some more. And then it snowed. Yup. Its summer for yall but it is very much winter for me and the rest of la gente here in Argentina. This week was cold, and as I am writing this email I am looking out of our window(we live in the 8th floor of an apartment building) all I can see is fog. The poor weather made it harder to work but we pushed through.   Had my first (multi)zone conference this week in Roca and it was great to get to know other missionaries! For those of you new to mission lingo- each companionship of missionaries has an area that they cover. Every couple "areas" is a "district", and every couple "districts" is a "zone"! Zone conference is when we all gather at one church building and spend the morning(or day in our case) together!  We had exchanges! New Missionary Pt 2

Yup, the title is correct. I got asked WAY to many times if I was a new missionary in my area that i've already been in for 6 weeks:( confirmed my thoughts of being pretty much invisible for the first transfer here in Argentina. So thats been real nice the past couple days. Oh and I got called fat in the street. Lets just say people are VERY open here and will not hold anything back.    Other than that, I have a new companion and she said that I have perfect spanish! At this moment I would like to thank my mother for speaking to me in spanish at home sometimes, because of that, I didnt completely loose the spanish I learned in high school many many years ago.   We had more miracles this week and one of our friends we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church!
