An Extra Long One

" Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
This grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home

When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see."

"Grace is not only necessary to cleanse us, but also to perfect us... We must do all we can, and when we have reached our limits, when we have asserted all our mental, moral, and spitirual energies, then the powers of heaven will intervene." -Tad R. Callister

Oh how amazing is His grace! Without this magnificent gift, I would be home. I wouldnt have been able to stand the pressure, judgement, rejection or mistakes that came from my mission. But I know that His grace is sufficient for me, with all of my heart, might, mind and soul. And it is His grace, that is allowing me to help other people find there way back to their heavenly home.

I still have 7 more months, but my mission has already changed my life forever

I love you all. Let His grace be sufficient

Buttttttttt!
Here is a lil rundown for those who want to know how my week went!

Multi-Zone conference in Neuquen! It was a spiritually uplifting experience. We learned more about the repentence process, the plan of salvation, and what it really means to be a successful missionary. I got to see some great friends and give advice to a new elder who is in the process of learning spanish. I loved being able to talk to the missionaries who got to the mission with me, my sweet companion hermana Baker and the matrimonies that are serving in my mission. Only the way home from the conference we were able to talk to the taxi driver about the Book of Mormon. I love being able to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone!

This week we had the goal to find 10 new people to teach this week. By Friday, we had only found 2. I was very stressed, but we agreed to help an hermana in my ward make decorations for a "welcome home" for a missionary. We ended up making decorations for a collective 3 hours. In the time we did have to knock doors and find more people, no one answered. We started walking to the church for the welcome home activity discouraged, but sticking to our committments. My companion asked me if I had small cards of Jesus Christ and so I pulled out an envelope and took out the 6 cards that I had.

One of them fell on the floor without either of us noticing and a man that was walking behind us picked it up and called our attention. He shared with us that is has been 4 years since he has been to church and that this was a sign to come back. When we got to the activity, we saw that our friend came on her own.

We worked HARD on saturday. We went to wake up our friends on sunday morning before church and they were already awake but werent going to church. So sad. We went to see if 3 kids that we are teaching were going to go, and we have been praying that we would be able to meet their mother. When we knocked, the mom came out and we were able to get her phone number!  Then, when we got to church, our other friend who is 10 years old introduced us to her mom! AND our friend who went to the activity alone on Friday night come to church with members that live down the street from her.

Then, when we were planning our week we called a reference that put His phone number in a Facebook Ad for the church! We decided that if he didnt answer the phone we were going to stop contacting him. Well, he answered. And wants to get baptized! What a blessing. We then visited our friend who came to church for the first time yesterday. Her mom is a Jehovahs Witness and they let us into their house to share a message about Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon!! We were speechless.

I am so thankful for these oportunities that I have to see the hand of God so prevelent in my life. My heart is full. His grace is sufficient.
