No Power Equals Showering With A Flashlight, Not A Real Light

We didnt have power for 2 days this week, you really dont appreciate something until its gone; especially washing clothing, having a funcioning fridge, and showering with light

The not so happy:
ive cried every night since hermana baker left for those who wanted to know, I miss her so much! Its also been hard ajusting to a new companion, someone with different habits, and learning how to take almost constant critisism
 

Miracle:
Our friends Rosana and Marcelo came to church! We met with them on saturday night and answered some of the questions that they had(they have a lot). Rosana loved the easter meeting we had and ending up seeing old friends that are members of the church. Another small miracle is that ive had patience the past few days. The small things are miracles too


Spiritual thought:
I have been reading Doctrine and Covenants this week. It has helped my testimony grow of the restauration of the gospel and how obedient Joseph smith needed to be! I know that as we repent each day and try more to humble ourselves God will help us with everything. I especially loved chapter 19 verse 3, that helps us know that God has power over Satan!

 
This week the elderes gave one of our friends a priesthood blessing because she had been struggling with dark feelings. I could testify to her, personally, that God has power over satan. A while back, when I was in my first area and had a scarring experience with someone who had evil spirits in her home. I was able to testify to our friend that if she had faith she would be protected. This also helped me build my testimony that everything happens for a reason. I now know that I needed to go that experience on my own in order to more fully/powerfully testify to her.

Milagros yall!! A few things from this week: - A family we are teaching came to church yesterday - One of our friends that we stopped teaching 2 months ago went to church/the baptism of her GRANDDAUGHTER yesterday and told the missionaries there that she wants us to teach her and pass by again!! - my heels are absolutely destroyed from walking a ton but I couldnt be happier to be in pain for the salvation of other people - I gave a talk and people could understand me haha!! My comp said my argentinian accent was so heavy at some points in my talk that she couldnt understand my spanish - a kid asked if I was chinese.   My favorite miracle this week:   while we were walking to a baptism for another ward, a guy stopped on his motorcycle and said "tengo una consulta", I was prepared to help him with dirrections, while my companion was preparing to run haha. I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

It rained, it poured, it rained some more. And then it snowed. Yup. Its summer for yall but it is very much winter for me and the rest of la gente here in Argentina. This week was cold, and as I am writing this email I am looking out of our window(we live in the 8th floor of an apartment building) all I can see is fog. The poor weather made it harder to work but we pushed through.   Had my first (multi)zone conference this week in Roca and it was great to get to know other missionaries! For those of you new to mission lingo- each companionship of missionaries has an area that they cover. Every couple "areas" is a "district", and every couple "districts" is a "zone"! Zone conference is when we all gather at one church building and spend the morning(or day in our case) together!  We had exchanges! New Missionary Pt 2

Yup, the title is correct. I got asked WAY to many times if I was a new missionary in my area that i've already been in for 6 weeks:( confirmed my thoughts of being pretty much invisible for the first transfer here in Argentina. So thats been real nice the past couple days. Oh and I got called fat in the street. Lets just say people are VERY open here and will not hold anything back.    Other than that, I have a new companion and she said that I have perfect spanish! At this moment I would like to thank my mother for speaking to me in spanish at home sometimes, because of that, I didnt completely loose the spanish I learned in high school many many years ago.   We had more miracles this week and one of our friends we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church!
