I’m A Mom!

Image
Im a mom!! In the mission you become a mom or a dad when you train a new missionary. I finished the training of hermana Baker(I LOVE YOU!) and now im starting the training of hermana Hintze!! I get to be with her with a lot of her "firsts" in the mission, and I am so excited! We get along so well and she is so ready to work!(and so am I) In the sense of numbers, this week went terrible. But throughout the chaos, I was still able to feel the spirit, see miracles and help others come unto christ so I am ok with that! Other than that, my companion call jesus autistic in spanish, I got super sick again, we ate a really yummy asado yesterday, we almost spilled 30 coca-colas in the mission car, said goodbye to my mission president and his wife, and we are going to hopefully be having a baptism and wedding this week for our friends!! (Pray for mabel+david) I love you all so much! Sorry I dont have a ton to write about this week. I cannot believe I only have a few months left. Send m...

4 Transfers Left

This week went by so fast! We were a lil sick but the work continues.  We had a zone conference this week and it was so spiritual! We talked about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the restauration of the gospel and our president gave us a lot of tips. This was my last conference with my current mission president, so sad! He shared some of his favorite scriptures with us and this was one that stood out to me: Doctrine and Convenants 123:17  "Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed."  All of my life I have tried to not only follow the commandments and keep my covenants, but I do it with JOY. Because I know that God will not give us things that we need to do without there being a  really  good reason for it.  What is a covenant?  A covenant is a sacred agreement between God and a person or gro...

Cow Tongue Empanadas

Image
I ate cow tongue this week. BUT it was in the form of empanadas, and the hermana didnt tell us when it was until we finished eating. They were actually really yummy and she gave me the recipe so when I get home yall are for sure trying cow tongue empanadas. This week was pretty slow, but a miracle was that a family we are teaching that have been coming to church for a month accepted a baptismal date for june 29th!! Pray that the couple agrees to get married and that it can happen before the end of transfers(the 20th of june)! (Picture 1) We had an amazing zone council and I felt the spirit so strong! (Picture 2) I was brought to tears a few times. Ill attach the video they showed at the end, but we talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ, the power of prayer, and being diligent missionaries out of the love we have for the Lord, and for the people we are teaching. I felt the spirit testifying so strongly of the love that God has for the people in the area I am in. ISAIAH 53:4-5 4 ¶ S...
