This week was weird. It has been the first week that a I truly have not been able to fulfill my purpose as a missionary. But amongst the challenges there were still many miracles! - on monday night we found a family that are friends with members. I am so excited to start teaching them as a family - we talked with a group of pibes(children, 16-24yrs) and it was SO funny - when we were saying goodbye to this group of teenagers, a man starting speaking to us in english so we spoke to him! His name is richard and wanted to know why we were always so happy when we walked by his work! We shared our testimonies and he asked us to teach him - a woman, on crack, stole some of our french fries, DONT DO DRUGS! - got to know my mission president and his family a LOT better! And ate milanesas(basically a german schnitzel) with them in their house at 12:30am on tuesday night During this "dinner" my president made me read this scripture outloud: [ "27 And see that all these things are ...

I told him he should start selling "budines" because its his favorite and I told him I also sold bread and cookie dough before my mission and he was inspired, he sold his first batch this past friday(ive been checking up to see if he started selling budines for the past 2 months). ☆ We were able to gift so many book of mormon this week and it was such a cool experience! We testified with so much power and I know it will help these people change their lives if they read it.  ☆ yesterday during lunch we were with a family and I was on my second plate of food. The wife put another serving on her plate and her husband said "if you keep going im gonna have to start calling you hermana carden for how much you are eating" JAJAJA...

What an amazing week that it has been! I feel so blessed to be a missionary. We saw so many miracles this week, worked so hard, and really gave it our all.  I would like to share one specific experience with you all today! Background - one time on my mission I heard an experience about a mission president in Brazil.(I dont remember where). He was on his was to a mission conference when a young mom and her baby stopped him and asked for help. He said he was in a rush and didnt help them. Throughout the day he kept thinking about this mother and her child, but put off the prompting to help them to order to continue with the mission conference. Later that night, when he was getting ready for bed he was still thinking about this mother and her child! So he left his house, and went to look for this mother in the streets of Sao Paolo late at night.  Following the holy ghost: On thursday morning we were on our way to visit our friends and we stopped by a bakery on the way because it ...

- We are now acquainted with the friendly neighborhood police - double asado: we got to eat asado 2 sundays in a row with the same family - I asked a member how to make a traditional food called "Locro" and offended her by saying it was similar with a different traditional food called "gizo" - we almost got eaten by a german shepard. not kidding, a plastic bag wrapped around its mouth saved our lives. - officially have some skin in the game! I hit my head really hard on a chair and it took off a chunk of my forehead... - merry christmas! it has been about 27 degrees when we wake up in the morning and MAN the mornings and evenings are chillyyyyy - someone told me I spoke really good spanish this week and then quizzed me all argentinian slang, I got it all right - I am teaching my companion to talk to everyone when we are walking on the street... I forgot to specify that we avoid the drunk/high people and we had a few interesting interactions this week, makes the work...
