Papá Pitufo (Papa Smurf)

- We are now acquainted with the friendly neighborhood police
- double asado: we got to eat asado 2 sundays in a row with the same family
- I asked a member how to make a traditional food called "Locro" and offended her by saying it was similar with a different traditional food called "gizo"
- we almost got eaten by a german shepard. not kidding, a plastic bag wrapped around its mouth saved our lives.
- officially have some skin in the game! I hit my head really hard on a chair and it took off a chunk of my forehead...
- merry christmas! it has been about 27 degrees when we wake up in the morning and MAN the mornings and evenings are chillyyyyy
- someone told me I spoke really good spanish this week and then quizzed me all argentinian slang, I got it all right
- I am teaching my companion to talk to everyone when we are walking on the street... I forgot to specify that we avoid the drunk/high people and we had a few interesting interactions this week, makes the work more entertaining

Papa Smurf!
on thursday we were walking to eat lunch with a member and we decided that we were going to talk to everybody. we were 2 blocks away from arriving to the members house when we stopped to talk to an older man outside of a car shop. we got to know him a little bit, and then started asking if he believed in God. he shared with us his testimony of Jesus Christ as our savior, and it was so special. I then felt the need to ask him if he believed that JEsus Christ estabolished a chruch when he was on the earth. He said no. I pushed a little bit harder and bore testimony to him that Christ established his church, and that the same church has been restored and is on the earth today. our friend ended up coming to church on sunday and now feels the need to read the book of mormon all the way though.

The power of a testimony:
I had many opportunites to share my testimony this week, and I would like to share it with you all:
I know the Jesus Christ lives. he is our savior. I know that he establed a church when was here for his earthy ministry and that the same church has been restored today. I testify with all my heart, might, mind and strength that the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the true church, and the only church that has the priesthood authority to preform saving ordinances.

Milagros yall!! A few things from this week: - A family we are teaching came to church yesterday - One of our friends that we stopped teaching 2 months ago went to church/the baptism of her GRANDDAUGHTER yesterday and told the missionaries there that she wants us to teach her and pass by again!! - my heels are absolutely destroyed from walking a ton but I couldnt be happier to be in pain for the salvation of other people - I gave a talk and people could understand me haha!! My comp said my argentinian accent was so heavy at some points in my talk that she couldnt understand my spanish - a kid asked if I was chinese.   My favorite miracle this week:   while we were walking to a baptism for another ward, a guy stopped on his motorcycle and said "tengo una consulta", I was prepared to help him with dirrections, while my companion was preparing to run haha. I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

It rained, it poured, it rained some more. And then it snowed. Yup. Its summer for yall but it is very much winter for me and the rest of la gente here in Argentina. This week was cold, and as I am writing this email I am looking out of our window(we live in the 8th floor of an apartment building) all I can see is fog. The poor weather made it harder to work but we pushed through.   Had my first (multi)zone conference this week in Roca and it was great to get to know other missionaries! For those of you new to mission lingo- each companionship of missionaries has an area that they cover. Every couple "areas" is a "district", and every couple "districts" is a "zone"! Zone conference is when we all gather at one church building and spend the morning(or day in our case) together!  We had exchanges! New Missionary Pt 2

Yup, the title is correct. I got asked WAY to many times if I was a new missionary in my area that i've already been in for 6 weeks:( confirmed my thoughts of being pretty much invisible for the first transfer here in Argentina. So thats been real nice the past couple days. Oh and I got called fat in the street. Lets just say people are VERY open here and will not hold anything back.    Other than that, I have a new companion and she said that I have perfect spanish! At this moment I would like to thank my mother for speaking to me in spanish at home sometimes, because of that, I didnt completely loose the spanish I learned in high school many many years ago.   We had more miracles this week and one of our friends we have been teaching for a few weeks finally came to church!
