Mi Corazon Está Con Dios

Ayyy, this week we worked so hard I was so exhausted every night. Here are a few things that were funny/stuck with me from this week!   - had to give a talk in church! Pretty sure no one understood what I said haha but my companion said it was really good!   - felt the spirit so strong this week! We saw so many miracles each day. You can too-- just need to look for them!   - almost got attacked by 2 dogs this week.. that was fun but its normal here   - we walk everywhere! Its about a 30 minute walk to most of the areas where we teach and we cant really go to any neighborhoods at night cause they are muy peligroso   Thats pretty much it for this week! Lots of work and my brain is mush from all the spanish. I can understand all of what some people say and none of what other people say. The accent is different for each person.   I love and miss you all!! Have a great week:)   P.s. Here is a scripture I loved this week!   Moroni 8:3  https://www....

Hola todos!! My first area is an italian city here called Cipolletti, and I am in a trio! I love it so much! Here are a few things from this week: - I was the only gringa/gringo to come to this mission! But I was joined in the Buenos Aires airport by 14 other missionaries from the Sao Paulo Brazil MTC that were coming to Neuquén. I only spoke spanish while traveling which was a good warm-up.. - it is so cold!! Couldn't tell you how cold, but the mornings and nights are chillyyy. - most people here don't believe it is my first week here. I have been told my spanish is really good for how new I am.  - our kitchen flooded my second morning here and we gave out 200+ invitations to come to church in 1 hour! - bread for every meal! And there are these pastries called facturas y alfajores. Facturas are my favorite! It's like a sweet bread with different fillings and toppings. - matte: wasn't a fan of it the first day but now I'm getting used to it! I like dulce matte more,...

Yeah Ok This Week...

im writing this part on the 12th, my preparation day. Sorry its all negative, mostly.     I am not doin well this week. I am writing this on Friday the 7th, and man have the past few days been hard! People in my district make jokes about "people dying" or "wanting to die" or "wanting to kill someone" every. Day. All I can think about is Andrea and Grandpa and I have been STRUGGLING, trying not to cry consistently throughout the day. Everything was just building up. There are a few hermanas who I really dont get respect from and honestly sometimes(a lot of the time) forget they are representitives of Jesus Christ. So yeah thats hard. No respect + missionaries?? To top it off, at dinner tonight one of the elders who is usually talkative sat at the end of a table tonight away from everyone else and didnt talk. Immediately 3 people asled him if he was ok and an hermana texted him privately to see if he was ok. Yeah, I feel so invisable in my district pretty mu...

Heyo! This is my last pday in the MTC, so the next one you recieve I will be in Argentina:) here are a bunch of random things that happened this week:   • I am actually kinda good at spike ball?? Not really though hahah I have loved playing a lot of spikeball and pickleball this week.   • there are so many missionaries here that not everyone can fit into the auditorium that we have devotionals in.   • started reading The Saints! So good but so sad.   • God gives us challenges so that we can become more Christlike. This past week I had times when I felt like I was reliving a hard time in my life and my heart fwlt completely broken. I was wondering why I was going through that now but realized that God was just helping me learn to turn outward to others during my trials instead of inward to myself.   • my teacher plugs his nose to speak in an "american" accent it is so funny   • uhh 7 full days left in the CCM?? I am definitely not ready por el campo pero est...

Hey yall! I usually start writing my emails throughout the week so just a heads up these emails probably won't be this good once I get to the field! But... here are a few things from this week!   • broke a 24 hour fast with watermelon and chocolate popsickes...   • spanish grammar test... well lets just say my goal was a 10%   • someone came and talked to all the missionaries about how if we do our part, each of us can have angels with us on our missions and at the CCM:) I have felt the presence of so many angels and all of your prayers this week!   • hail??? Its rainy season here and I love it. It hailed for about 10 minutes and then rained pretty hard this week.   • "do you love me more than these?" Jesus Christ asked Peter if he loved Him more than fishing and he said yes. Jesus then said, ok good now go feed my sheep. Peter had to give up something he loved for the Lord. My biggest "these" has been comfort. But there is no growth in the comfort zone!   ...
